A Whole Bunch Of Bastards

As if Tarantino-Watch ‘08 couldn’t get any more heated…
Late yesterday afternoon, news broke that Brad Pitt, who had reportedly been in talks since July, had officially signed on to star in Tarantino’s WWII epic Inglorious Bastards. Pitt will play Lt. Aldo Raine, a Tennessee born rebel who leads a band of eight Jewish American soldiers in an exercise of revenge against Nazis in German-occupied France. Reportedly much of the dialogue spoken in the film will be a mix of French, German and Jewish, though Pitt’s character will be speaking English.
And if that wasn’t more legwork than Tarantino has done in years, he’s also approached a few others to bring aboard his next “homage”.
