Rob Zombie’s sequel to Halloween, H2, has been leaking out a few pictures lately and the latest includes Dr. Loomis, as played by Malcom McDowell on a talk show with the likes of Weird Al Yankovic. What do you think? How is Rob Zombie doing?

Over at Shock Till You Drop they’ve quoted Zombie and his comment on the photo where Dr. Loomis is on a talk show to plug the book he’s written called “The Devil Walks Among Us.”

“Dr. Loomis is clearly out of his comfort zone as he takes on Weird Al during his appearance on The Newman Hour. It’s tough hawking those books.” – Rob Zombie

That’s right kids. We can all ignore the upcoming slasher sequel to the horrible remake of the classic original. Yup. Rob Zombie’s coming back, and he’s going to write and direct the sequel to his turd of a remake of ‘Halloween’. Yes, there may just be some trailer trash in this one as well. Here’s hoping.

Over at ShockTillYouDrop they are reporting the Zombie is back in the directors chair and not just producing as originally thought. I guess the only thing we can hope for is that someone else does the writing but slim chance on that.

Rob Zombie the Slacker? No way!

So, this morning I wandered over to Bloody-Disgusting to get the daily scoop, and talk some smack on the horror boards (still have to do that) and what do I see but a huge story about Rob Zombie. It seems that the “shock-rocker” (I use that term lightly) hasn’t even written the script for his upcoming Tyrannosaurus Red film that’s slated for a 2009 release. You know what? I’m super-pumped for this news. The film gods must be watching down on me, because this is the best news I’ve heard all week. Read on for more info.

Zombieween Goes Route Of Devil’s Rejects

Right back atcha Rob.

A few months ago, I was on Amazon and came across a German 3-disc limited edition of Rob Zombie’s Halloween, with both the director’s cut (which I hear is pretty similar to the work print, though I’m no glutton for punishment; I won’t be finding out for myself anytime soon) and theatrical, plus a supplemental disc filled with documentaries and deleted scenes (you know what they say, “If it’s not good enough for Zombie…”). Despite the film (sadly) being considered a hit here in the states, with a $58 million box office take and a $20 million budget, it still didn’t make enough to warrant a box set like that, even with the overseas take factored in. I mean, most of the money Zombieween made was off of people who wanted to just see how bad it was, right? Did people actually like it?
