‘Half Blood Prince’ Trailer

This summer(was supposed to be out NOW DAMMIT, but WB moved it back), ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ will hit theaters. This is the sixth installment in the series, and will be the lead up to the final installment, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’, which will be split into two films.
Shinobi: Heart Under Blade (2005)

If someone told Japanese author Futaro Yamada that his book The Kouga Ninja Scrolls, written in 1959, would become a multimedia explosion some 45 years later, I’m sure he wouldn’t have believed it. But that’s exactly what happened to the material, which is certainly ripe for the picking. A Romeo and Juliet style story set in the midst of rival ninja clans with magical powers is beyond awesome in my world. Obviously others agreed, and in 2003 it was turned into a 5 volume manga series entitled Basilisk, followed by a 24-episode anime series of the same name in 2005. That wasn’t all however, as at the end of the anime’s run, a theatrical live-action film was released, under the name Shinobi: Heart Under Blade. Apparently the subject matter can do no wrong, as the film is pretty much on par with everything that came before it.

Harry Potter And The 23 Second Teaser

He’s laughing all the way to the bank.
Despite word from Warner Brothers earlier this week about not having a trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, they never said anything about a teaser. Many of you will be split on this sort of marketing but WB did a similar one to great effect late last year for The Dark Knight and it peaked all of interests in a big way. It’s a true teaser in the sense that there is absolutely no footage from the movie, just some spoken dialogue, the title of the film and an advertisement for IMAX. They’re doing it in a similar fashion as Order of the Phoenix (which was my least favorite film so far), with only select sequences in 3-D. Strong speculation indicates the actual trailer might be appearing in front of The Clone Wars in August but until then, we’ll have to live with these 23 seconds.
