Ben Ketai To Direct 30 Days Of Night Sequel
According to Bloody-Disgusting, Ben Ketai will be directing the sequel to 30 Days Of Night. Steve Niles and Ben Ketai wrote the story together. Stella Olsen returns as the main character but will not be played by Melissa George (lame). It will be called “30 Days Of Night: Dark Days”.
Downey Jr. Taking up Lestat?
Looks like our favorite playboy from Iron Man and Kirk Lazarus from Tropic Thunder has taken up a new mantle…vampires. That’s right kids, Robert Downey Jr. is in talks to pick up where Tom Cruise and Stuart Townsend left off, as the main character of Anne Rice’s vampire chronicles, Lestat. Read on for more.
Another Riddick Flick…oh Hell Yeah!

Robert Rodriguez To Give Predator The Reboot?
According to Bloody-Disgusting.com, Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios will be producing a Predator remake for 20th Century Fox. No word on whether Rodriguez will direct or who is writing the script (although Rodriguez wrote a script for it years back while waiting for Desperado to start filming).
Machete To Finally Happen In 09?
Over on Bloody-Disgusting.com there is a rumor posted on the front page that the Weinsteins have made Machetea priority for later this year. No word on whether it will be a theatrical release or direct to dvd but I’m not sure I can see Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, From Dusk Till Dawn) doing a direct to dvd movie. ‘Strangeland’ Sequel in the Works
Oh, dear God. Anyone remember that horrendous film from Twisted Sister frontman, Dee Snider, ‘Strangeland’? I do. I admit it, I used to like it, a lot. I still have the soundtrack, and enjoy a bunch of the songs, but I’ve come to like it less and less, until I can’t even look at the box without laughing that I actually enjoyed it once upon a time. ‘Inland Saints’ gets Revamped
We all know that films change once a production company gets their hands on a script. Characters change and the story evolves (or, gets worse for most modern films), but this is such a massive change that I’m really not sure what to think.
