As readers that don’t already know me will surely soon realize, I have a real love for Japanese cinema. This was probably instilled in me before I even realized it was happening, with everything from Nintendo and Sega videogames, animation like Robotech, Voltron, and The Fantastic Adventures of Unico, and my fascination with badly dubbed giant monster films like Godzilla and Rodan that played on the weekend afternoon Creature Feature’s when I was growing up. There’s just something I get from watching Japanese cinema that I don’t find anywhere else, and it’s stuck with me to this day.

So I’ve decided to unleash my obsession on the unsuspecting readers of The Screamin’ Demon. I’ll use this section for anything from reviews of Japanese films, reviews of anime, news of upcoming Japanese flicks I’m interested in, and so on. Hopefully this section will entertain my fellow Japanophiles, and maybe spark some interest in those of you who aren’t well versed on the pleasures from the Land of the Rising Sun.
