Yet another shitty week for new releases but it’s packed with a bunch of good Blu-Ray releases.
Defiance (2008) Drama/Thriller ‘R’ - Jewish brothers in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe escape into the Belarussian forests, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and about 1,000 Jewish non-combatants.
Anaconda 4: Trail of Blood (2009) Horror ‘R’ - A genetically created Anaconda, cut in half, regenerates itself into two aggressive giant snakes, due to the Blood Orchid.
The Butterfly Tattoo (2008) Crime/Thriller ‘R’ - “Chris Marshall met the girl he was going to kill on a warm night in early June, when of the colleges in Oxford was holding its summer ball.” A chance meeting with Jenny at an Oxford party leaves seventeen-year-old Chris with hope for a summer romance – and no premonition of trouble. Busy with his job and soon in love with Jenny, whose cheerful surface belies the dark uncertainty of her past, Chris misses all the signs of danger. Before he knows it, he’s caught in the sinister web of a criminal whose desire for revenge crushes those who stand in his way.
Direct Contact (2009) Action ‘R’ - An American prisoner in a Russian jail is given a chance at freedom if he can rescue a kidnapped American woman.
Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (2009) Musical/Sci-fi/Comedy ‘Not Rated’ - An aspiring supervillain must balance his career and his pursuit of a beautiful do-gooder.
Elsewhere (2009) Crime/Thriller ‘R’ - A teen girl disappears after trying to meet men online in order to escape her small town. Apparently, only her best friend worries enough to investigate the mystery.
Fanboys (2008) Comedy ‘PG-13′ - Star Wars” fans travel to Skywalker Ranch to steal an early copy of “Episode I: The Phantom Menace”.
Highlander – The Complete Animated Series (1994-1996) Animation ‘Not Rated’ - For seven centuries the world has been living in ignorance, since a meteorite destroyed almost everything the human race had built throughout the milleniums. Razortooth (2007) Horror ‘R’ - The concept is based on a true story concerning an exotic species of eels that are released in the southeast from Asia. They breathe air and can survive on land.
Retardead (2008) Comedy/Horror ‘R’ - “They’re not so special anymore!” The evil Dr. Stern returns, armed with a lethal intelligence serum that yields horrific results at the Butte County Institute for Special Education.
Silent Venom (2009) Horror ‘R’ - Tom Berenger, Luke Perry and Krista Allen face off against a slithering mass of lethal and aggressive snakes in this heart-stopping thrill ride set hundreds of feet below sea level.
Stockholm Syndrome (2008) Horror ‘R’ - Somewhere, in a sleepy rural area. an underground organization is operating. Tales of unspeakable atrocities occur within this business. People are kidnapped, beaten, and, tortured beyond comprehension. Then they are reprogramed to succumb to the will of their vile captors for their sick games and sold for the highest price.
Tied Up (2008) Horror ‘R’ - Case hates life. He has been deceived, cheated on, and sexually taken advantage of. He seeks to ruin the one who has brutally ruined him. Without divulging his real plan, he persuades his group of friends to help him steal some cash from a quick and simple heist. The simple heist turns into coldhearted betrayal and murder. Relationships are tested and bonds are broken.
Zatoichi: The Complete First Season (1974) Martial Arts ‘Not Rated’ - The blind masseur Zatoichi (Shintaro Katsu) wanders through Japan looking to ply his trade. But wherever he goes, trouble follows and he must use his legendary, lightning sword skills to dispatch evildoers and defend justice. Includes 26 episodes of the classic ’70s Japanese samurai TV series.

Bruce Almighty (2003) Comedy ‘PG-13′ - A guy who complains about God too often is given almighty powers to teach him how difficult it is to run the world.
Cop Land (1997) Crime/Drama ‘R’ - The sheriff of a suburban New Jersey community populated by New York City policeman slowly discovers the town is a front for mob connections and corruption.
Dark Blue (2002) Crime/Drama ‘R’ - A robbery homicide investigation triggers a series of events that will cause a corrupt LAPD officer to question his tactics.
Fletch (1985) Comedy ‘PG’ - Fletch is an ace reporter. While working on a story on Drug sales, he is approached by Alan Stanwyck who wants Fletch to murder him to save him from a lingering cancer death. Fletch begins to nose around and finds irregularities in Stanwyck’s past and Underhill’s Visa Number.
Glory (1989) Drama/War ‘R’ - Robert Gould Shaw leads the US Civil War’s first all-black volunteer company, fighting prejudices of both his own Union army and the Confederates.
Inside Man (2006) Thriller ‘R’ - A cop has to talk down a bank robber after the criminal’s perfect heist spirals into a hostage situation
Navy Seals (1990) Action ‘R’ - While rescuing an American air crew captured by Mid-Eastern terrorists, Lieutenant Curran and his team of Navy SEALs discover evidence that the terrorists have come into possession of dangerous high-tech weapons.
Out of Time (2003) Crime/Thriller ‘PG-13′ - A Florida police chief must solve a vicious double homicide before he himself falls under suspicion.
Road House (1989) Awesome ‘R’ - If I need to explain this movie to you, get off my site.
To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) Crime/Drama ‘R’ - A fearless Secret Service agent will stop at nothing to bring down the counterfeiter who killed his partner.
Walking Tall (2004) Action ‘PG-13′ - A former U.S. soldier returns to his hometown to find it overrun by crime and corruption, which prompts him to clean house.
