Another pretty slow week for new releases but we do get the long awaited (at least by me) release of Killshot and some great Blu-Ray releases. Read on for the rest of your entertainment needs.
Killshot (2005) Thriller ‘R’ – Beautiful Carmen Colson and her ironworker husband Wayne are placed in the Federal Witness Protection program after witnessing an “incident”. Thinking they are at last safe, they are targeted by an experienced hit man and a psychopathic young upstart killer.
The Beast Hunter (2008) Action/Thriller ‘Not Rated’ - Sargeant Tong Fei mistakenly killed the elder daughter of public prosecutor Ann Gao while he was in the process of capturing wanted criminal Cheung Yattung. Ann works doubly hard to bring Cheung to justice. But as Cheung is about to stand trial, Ann’s younger daughter, Ling, is kidnapped by a professional killer, Hung King, to be returned only if she drops all charges against Cheung.
Beneath The Flesh (2009) Horror/Anthology ‘Not Rated’ - An anthology of shorts about people dealing with fear.
The Big Bluff (1955) Crime/Film Noir ‘Not Rated’ – When a scheming fortune hunter finds his rich wife is not going to die as expected, he and his lover make other plans to get her millions.
Brothers War (2009) Action/War ‘R’ - Based on real events, the setting for Brother’s War is the Eastern Front during the final days of World War II. In the midst of fierce fighting, as the Western Allies and the Russian Red Army make their advance toward Berlin, a British Army Officer attached to the Red Army discovers a secret that can shatter the unity of the Allies.
Carnivorous (2009) Horror ‘R’ – A fierce serpent terrorizes a city. Army special ops vet and master hunter Nick Kirabo (DMX) is the only man who can stop the serpent known as “Lockjaw.”
The Devil’s Tomb (2009) Horror ‘R’ – Cuba Gooding Jr. battles for mankind’s survival in this action-packed, apocalyptic horror thriller. Captain Mack (Gooding Jr.) leads an elite military unit on a search for a missing scientist, and comes face-to-face with an ancient evil lying beneath the Middle Eastern desert. Evil that is not of this world. Evil that should never be unearthed.
Gothkill (2009) Horror/Comedy ‘R’ – When Catholic Priest and Inquisitor Nicholas Dread finds out that innocents are being burned as witches he decides to do something about it. Unfortunately for him, his superiors don’t agree and he’s burned at the stake alongside two women he forced confessions from. While dying, Nick curses god and makes a pact with Satan to reign over his own kingdom someday at any cost. Now, in 21st century New York City, Dread has returned to finish the deal. His end of the bargain with Satan must be fulfilled, and many will die so Dread can take the throne in his kingdom of over one hundred thousand corrupt souls. He just has to find the right bunch of victims…and it just so happens the best Goth Club in the city is ripe for this bloodthirsty butcher bent on revenge! Can a group of Goths and wanna-be vampires hold their own when the real thing arrives?
The Hellbenders (1967) Spaghetti Western ‘Not Rated’ - An ex-Confederate and his sons plan to use stolen money as a way to revive the Confederacy. Directed by the great Sergio Corbucci
Hindsight (2009) Thriller ‘Not Rated’ – Ron and Dina—unexpectedly pregnant and broke—list their unborn child for adoption on the internet, hoping to score an upfront payment. Enter Paul and Maria. Rich, desperate for a baby, and ready to play a twisted, sadistic game of their own.
Kill Buljo (2007) Satire ‘R’ - A Norwegian parody of Kill Bill.
Lady Ninja Kasumi, Vol. 4 (2006) Pinku Eiga ‘R’ - Once again, Lady Ninja Kasumi is a candidate for a dangerous mission that will use all of her abilities as both a kunoichi and a woman. Her clan elder approaches a specific former member of their group, Sakichi, for his aid in the matter. Unfortunately, due to a tragedy and a lost love, he is unwilling to lend his help to the Sanada ninja, and Kasumi volunteers to handle the matter. Ultimately, she is captured and it is up to Sakichi to help her get to safety… but not before she settles the score with a rival lady ninja.
Ten Tigers of Kwang Tung – The Shaw Brothers Kung-Fu Collection (1979) Martial Arts ‘R’ – The Shaw Brothers‘ top ten stars take on the mantle of the famed Canton Ten Tigers. Witness various rare forms of martial arts, including the Beggar’s Pole and the Mermaid’s Tail; as well as more traditional styles, such as Wing Chun and Mantis.

Children Of Men (2006) Sci-Fi ‘R’ - In 2027, in a chaotic world in which humans can no longer procreate, a former activist agrees to help transport a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea, where her child’s birth may help scientists save the future of humankind.
Cinderella Man (2005) Drama/Sports ‘R’ – The story of James Braddock, a supposedly washed up boxer who came back to become a champion and an inspiration in the 1930s.
Falling Down (1993) Suspense/Thriller ‘R’ – An unemployed defense worker frustrated with the various flaws he sees in society, begins to psychotically and violently lash out against them.
Field Of Dreams (1989) Sports/Fantasy ‘PG’ - An Iowa corn farmer, hearing voices, interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields; he does, and the Chicago Black Sox come.
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) Fantasy/Adventure ‘PG-13′ – When Robin and his Moorish companion come to England and the tyranny of the Sheriff of Nottingham, he decides to fight back as an outlaw.
The Sky Crawlers (2008) Anime/Action ‘PG-13′ -Somewhere, in a country similar to ours, there are children who do not became adults. They are very similar to us. The story takes place in another possible “now”- a world that has eradicated war and finally attained peace. However, this prolonged status of peace created demand for a new kind of war. A conflict happening elsewhere, that could be seen on TV or read in the papers- in order to get a feeling of reality. Private war contractors enlist fighter pilots to perform their services in an endless “war as a show.” They call these pilots Kildren. Innocent-looking teenagers in appearance, Kildren never age into adulthood, and live in a state of eternal adolescence until the day they are killed in battle.
True Romance (1993) Action/Crime ‘R’ - Clarence marries hooker Alabama, steals cocaine from her pimp, and tries to sell it in Hollywood, while the owners of the coke try to reclaim it.
