Thrillers are fun. Thrillers are entertaining. But, doubt immediately springs to mind when two of Hollywood’s ‘big stars’ get attached to any project. Read on for the sketchy details.

Katherine Heigl has signed on to star opposite Ashton Kutcher in the Lionsgate thriller “Five Killers.”

Film reteams Heigl with helmer Robert Luketic, who most recently directed the thesp in upcoming romantic comedy “The Ugly Truth.”

Story kicks off when a woman meets the man of her dreams while on vacation. Married bliss is turned upside down when they discover that their neighbors may be assassins hired to kill them.

Scott Aversano is producing alongside Katalyst Films’ Jason Goldberg. Mike Karz,Josie Rosen, Christopher Pratt and Chad Marting will serve in some producing capacity.

Film begins helming next month in Atlanta and the south of France.

This premise could be either really cool, or extremely generic. The actors involved have my heart sinking to the floor.

Screw this film. Give me a remake of Devil Times Five.
