I’m a Bastard

No, not because I paid to sit through Cabin Fever, but because Quentin Tarantino has him on board to play Sgt. Donnie Donowitz, a Nazi hunter who weilds a baseball bat in Tarantino’s upcoming war film, Inglorious Bastards. The film, which begins production this October in Europe for the Weinstein Co. and Universal Pictures, details a group of prisoners-turned-soldiers who fight a group of Nazis in Nazi-occupied France.

Eli Roth has already starred in one Tarantino film, playing a small role in his Death Proof installment of the double-feature Grindhouse. Brad Pitt is also in talks to play a character named Aldo Raine. Variety reports that Leonardo DiCaprio, who was rumored to play SS Col. Hans Landa, will not be doing so as Tarantino is looking for a German actor for that role.

I’m looking forward to this flick. I’m one of the few that actually really loves the original. I just recently bought the 3-Disc edition as a matter of fact.

Bo Svenson and Fred Williamson in an Italian made WWII flick? How could one go wrong with that.

Tarantino’s vision, I’m sure, will be much more unique. Looks like he’s lining up a lot of talent for the film. I cannot wait.

Haven’t seen the original, I was supposed to on the big screen but nope. As for Cabin Fever. It’s not the best film in the world, but it’s a personal guilty pleasure of mine that I can watch whenever I feel like it. :p
