If you didn’t catch the sarcasm, yes indeed, Jackie Chan is going to star in “The Spy Next Door”, an action-comedy coming to you from your friendly guys over at Relativity Media.  Once again, Jackie has to kick-butt and take names, while making us laugh, in an adventure film that sounds all too familiar to even the most casual cinephiles.  Read on for some more on the film.

Jonathan Bernstein and Jim Greer are penning the screenplay for “Spy,” which centers on a man (Chan) who is called to baby-sit his neighbor’s children and winds up having to fight off secret agents after one of the kids inadvertently downloads a secret code.

Wow, I don’t know, but my guess is the kid downloads the codes, the bad guys track the codes, Chan shows up just to baby-sit, parents leave, bad guys show up, Chan kicks butt, we all learn a valuable lesson about not doing things we’re not supposed to do.  Let me know if that happens as I’ll probably be giving this a pass.
