New York’s Licensing Expo. Don’t worry, I’ve never heard of it either. Apparently we all should be paying a little more attention to them because Marvel has unveiled some cool looking logos for Iron Man II, Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers. Thank you Licensing Expo, whatever you are!
If I may sound like a total Marvel Fanboy here for a minute (and goddamn it I will if I want to!) … holy shit these are actually going to happen! Its one thing to read that they’ve been announced, but lets face it movies get announced and canceled all the time, I’m looking in your direction Spy Hunter. Now that we’ve got some cool looking logos, accompanied by the release (year) … things are starting to feel much more official than just a simple press release. Here are the new logos:
You’ve read the comics. You’ve seen the release dates. And now we’re getting a first look at the logos. So which of these four are YOU looking the most forward to? Personally, I can’t wait for Captain America, especially with the rumor floating around that we are in fact going to be getting WWII Style Captain America! This truly is the best time to be a comic book fan!

Speaking of Ironman II, there are very strongly confirmed rumors that Marvel, more especifically Chairman Daivid Maisel are being penny pinchers and lowballing John Favreau with a pay ofer almost identical to the four mil he had for the previous film.
Bare in mind that as much as four million sound, its a really small check for a director under these conditions, he got that on the premise of him being a director not yet proven for this kind of films, this being the first Marvel film, being a non brand character and all that hoola.
So now that hes proven himselve with delivering a comercially succes, critically praised movie and used his conections that helped them land a fantastic cast, instead of a thanks heres a share of the loot contract for a second movie, he basically got a big fat “fuck you, any idiot can continue the franchise, take it or leave it” offer.
It seems more favorable negotiations towards Favreau have started since this rumor came out a few days back, first on IESB and then confirmed in AICN(Wile Harry Knowles didnt out his sources in it its no secret hes had a working relationship with Favreau himselve) and there was a lot of suport shown for him by the fanbase, but really Favreau should have had a decent contract offered at him by the monday after the ultra succesful premiere weekend, especially if they already have so close release dates for the next stuff.
