Paramount finally announced their Blu-ray release plan, and one of the first titles coming up will be the Blu-ray edition of the monster movie hit, Cloverfield. While pricing and cover art has yet to be revealed, it is now known that it will be released on Blu-ray format on June 3rd. I am also betting that there may be a handful of disgruntled consumers out there who went and bought the DVD.
Too bad for those guys, huh? Anyway, for those of us who waited, or will end up buying both formats, here is what will be on the disc.
- Special Investigation Mode (Blu-ray exclusive)
- Commentary by Director Matt Reeves
- Document 01.18.08: The Making of Cloverfield featurette
- Cloverfield Visual Effects featurette
- I Saw It! It’s Alive! It’s Huge! fearurette
- Clover Fun featurette
- 4 Additional Scenes
- 2 Alternate Endings w/optional commentary
- 14 Easter Eggs
Note that none of these features will be in HD and there is supposed to e some type of web connectivity within the menus.
